We have had such a wonderful experience at Heights One World. The small family feel, is what we were looking for. All the staff knows you and your child personally. The teachers are very caring and are always communicating with you. The curriculum is fantastic, the kids are always learning about a variety of diverse topics. My daughter is always coming home talking about what she learned.

Our son has been attending HOWCCC since just 12 weeks old and has really thrived there. As a working mom I appreciate the attentiveness and care provided by the teachers in the infant room!

“Our family started using HOW for childcare in the spring of 2022 after transitioning our then 2.5 year old daughter from a more “corporate” daycare setting, and we have since enrolled our infant son as well. We could not be happier with our decision to entrust our children’s care to the HOW teachers and staff. This facility is homey, vibrant, and the curriculum used exposes the kids to many different cultures, foods, learning activities, and most importantly focuses on learning through exploration and structured play. The teachers know our kids so well and communicate daily with us about academic and social progress and bring up any questions or concerns to us right away. We love that most of the families that use HOW are from the Cleveland Heights or surrounding community, and the center has a very neighborly feel. We would recommend HOW to anyone!”

We have loved Heights One World since we first toured the facility & my daughter remarked that it “felt like our home” after we left. The educational based facility with a small ratio of children to their wonderful teachers exposes our daughter to different aspects of learning through sensory and play. The people who work here are fantastic, and always have time to say hi, smile, or get a hug from my daughter. This has been a great place for our 3 year-old to grow! The classrooms are clean, full of great learning tools, toys and decorated with the art from each class. Their playground area & well cared for garden are a standout favorite, especially with my outdoorsy kid! I highly recommend checking One World out for your childcare needs. We are lucky to have joined their family.

One World is a wonderful place! My 4-year-old son has been going to Cleveland Heights One World since he was 2 years old. Not only is this daycare a fantastic, loving, and safe environment, their Montessori style of teaching has encouraged and developed his skills. Our son has learned so much! The teachers have provided a vast curriculum for the children, and I know it will help them when starting kindergarten soon. Early on, I saw a substantial improvement in his language and social skills. One World also helped us through many milestones, for example: potty training and weaning off the bottle/pacifier. Our son has met friends he loves, and it is absolutely the cutest thing in the world. I love this place, and more importantly, my son loves it! There is no other daycare I would have picked for my little guy.

I have so much love for Heights One World, so this is going to be long! I’ve been a parent at Height’s One World since about 2016. My daughter, who is in elementary school now, spent all but her first year of daycare there. My son is currently enrolled and has been since he was a baby. I only have experience with one other daycare facility. It was part of a pricey chain and everything was crisp and clean. It was much more of a business than a homey environment for a child to spend the majority of their week in. Heights One World was a breath of fresh air, and I am grateful that we found them every day. My son still has at least two years left there before going to kindergarten and I am already feeling sad that our time is coming to an end. I cannot say enough good things about them, but here are a few. The administration & teachers: You couldn’t ask for better people to be running it. Jennifer (Admin) and Laurie (owner) are the most flexible and kind people. My kids have always gone four days a week and any time I ever needed to add an extra day they ALWAYS made it work. Swapping a day was never a problem. They have standard options, but are extremely flexible. From what I have seen, they have never turned a request down for a different schedule, or not done everything they can to help parents meet the needs of busy schedules. They have honored every request for individualized care, heard every complaint and concern, and taken action. When COVID hit they took a lot of precautions to stay open, and avoided outbreaks for the first 1.5 years. My kids never felt the full impact of COVID because they went to their second home everyday and continued to play outside and be with their friends. When the class of pre-k kids were nearing the end of their time there, they spoke to the parents and added a Kindergarten class for those kids so that they wouldn’t have to have their first year of real school be experienced virtually. I will be forever grateful for this. My daughter and family wouldn’t have survived virtual kindergarten. Not only did they add a Kindergarten class (which is no small feat), they did it amazingly. It was such a wonderful year and my daughter is thriving in first grade. My daughter’s birthday is yet another example of their flexibility and affection for their families. They allowed me to host her party in their outdoor space and were so accommodating about it (and did not charge a dime). It was the least stressful kids party ever, and everyone had the best time. Lori and Rich were there the whole time and Rich got the hose out for the kids and did all kinds of fun stuff for them. As far as learning and curriculum goes, they also get 5 stars from me. They do amazing art projects, and really teach the kids about many different countries, cultures, and religions. They have many food days that includes cooking and eating the food from the cultures they are studying. The kids get to learn by doing and help cook the meals in various, age appropriate ways. I understand that everyone has different experiences, but I think anyone would be lucky to part of the family there. I have had one or two experiences that I took issue with there, but both times they listened and did what I asked them to do, and have never made me feel bad for asking. So all in all, I obviously am grateful for these people, and HIGHLY recommend them as childcare providers.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful and magical place. We have been at Heights One World for approximately 7 weeks and my only regret is that we have not had my children here longer.
From day one on our tour, we were immediately welcomed by a number of smiling faces, who genuinely seemed excited to meet both my son and daughter. They were asked their names, how old they were, what they liked, etc. They were both invited in with their age groups, learning about soil, planting a tree and earthworms outside. Inside there were kids learning to wash dishes, potty training, reading, cooking, you name it, everyone engaging with other kids and teachers.
My 5 year old daughter developed severe separation anxiety after some very negative experiences at previous daycares. By the end of her first day at Heights One World, she was raving about how much she loved her new school and couldn’t wait to go back. At prior daycares, she used to scream and cry at drop off and ran into my arms crying at pickup. At Heights One World, she is now smiling while waving goodbye at drop off. I have to stop her from running away to give me a hug goodbye. She asks why we can’t go to daycare everyday, and begs me to stay longer when I pick her up. She comes home everyday teaching me about something new. Ladybugs, surfing, numbers, sea turtles, its never-ending.
My 3 year old son has a speech delay, and prior to starting at Heights One World, I absolutely could not get him to show any interest in books. I was seriously struggling with potty training him. He would not want to ‘create’ things such as art, drawings, etc. Within 4-5 weeks, he was becoming obsessed with books, coming home with drawings and paintings and is doing so much better with potty training.
The improvement that I’ve seen in my children is enough of a testament to the incredible staff. However, I have to say that I have witnessed such kindness, patience and admirable generosity of the staff. They truly care about the children, and their development. It is a warm, and caring place that I completely trust with my children.
